How Rosalina joined the Tourney[]

During one of her centennial visits to the Mushroom World, the Comet Observatory is attacked by Bowser, who steals the observatory's Power Stars and Grand Stars. Rosalina later appeared to Mario/Luigi after Peach is kidnapped. In order to aid Mario/Luigi she gives him Luma, the same one seen with Peach at the Star Festival. After Mario/Luigi collects enough stars to power the ship, Rosalina flies the observatory to the center of the universe for the final confrontation with Bowser.

Sparkles her wand.

After the announcer calls her name[]

Rosalina does Heihachi's Soul Calibur II charcter select screen animation saying "YEAH! Yay!".

Special Attacks[]

Luma Shot (Neutral)[]

Rosalina launches Luma forward with her wand. It is chargeable, with a fully charged Luma being invincible while traveling. Luma stops after either hitting something or reaching the end of its path. By using neutral special again, Luma will return to Rosalina. Otherwise, Luma will move relative to Rosalina's position and the direction she faces. While away from her, Luma will emit a pulsing ring of light. Since Luma is involved in this attack, this move will have no effect during Luma's respawn time.

Star Bits (Side)[]

Luma shoots three Star Bits forward, each at a different angle. Like Luma Shot, this move will have no effect during Luma's respawn time.

Launch Star (Up)[]

Rosalina uses a multicolored Launch Star to propel herself and Luma into the air. It can be angled just before the ascent, making it capable of launching her at a purely vertical angle, a nearly horizontal angle, or a diagonal angle. Rosalina enters a helpless state after using the move. Luma can attack with aerial and grounded attacks, but not specials or smashes, if present.

Gravitational Pull (Down)[]

Rosalina waves her wand around herself and the Star Cursor makes any nearby items or projectiles gravitate towards her. Gravitating projectiles come under Rosalina's ownership, which can result in projectiles damaging opponents who get too close. Any items that are pulled in, including those from special moves (such as Vegetable, Metal Blade, Gyro and Remote Bomb), will be automatically equipped, used, or consumed.

Grand Star (Final Smash)[]

Rosalina summons a Grand Star that continuously emits smaller stars before the Grand Star itself explodes. The smaller stars launch opponents towards the Grand Star, which hits opponents multiple times. Rosalina & Luma can also use their movesets during the Final Smash.

Victory Animations[]

  1. Luma flies in after Rosalina motions with her wand as she says, "Okay! We win!" while Luma circles her.
  2. Rosalina poses and says "We win! YEAH!" while Luma jumps and spins behind her. Sometimes Luma will have a serious expression.
  3. Luma jumps into Rosalina's arms and she catches it saying "YEAH! We win!".

On-Screen Appearance[]

Rosalina & Luma fly onto the stage while accompanied by a trail of stardust saying "Yes! Okay!".

Trivia[]

  • Though her voice quotes come from Mario Kart Wii, they were revoiced due to the fact that she is voiced by Kerri Kane instead of Mercedes Rose.
  • The rival of Rosalina is Clark Kent aka Superman.
